Finding God When My Own Strength Wasn't Enough

But after my divorce, when the house was quiet and the loneliness set in, I reached a point

where my own strength just wasn't enough. I was exhausted emotionally, physically,

spiritually. I'd always prided myself on being self reliant. But I hit a wall

I couldn't climb over alone. That's when I started searching something bigger than myself.

And you know what I found? God. Not in a church pew,

but in the silence of my living room, in the ache of my chest and in the desperate prayers

I barely believe anyone was listening to.
