Finding My Pace

Morning finds me half awake. Shoes untied, but I'm okay. I say less than

I could say. Save some colors for the day. I've been walking careful lines.

Not alone, just taking time. There are eyes that know my way. They stay.

I'm moving at my own pace. Learning where I feel in place. I don't hide,

I don't explain. I let the moment say my name. I'm not lost, I'm just in between.

Becoming more than I have been. Windows open, air comes in. Every breath feels

like the wind. I see myself in smaller signs and borrowed smiles in quiet nights.

They remind me when I doubt that slow steps still move me out. No spotlight,
