I found out my ex was cheating on me by accident. I wasn’t snooping. I wasn’t suspicious.

I was literally just using his laptop to play music while I cleaned our apartment. A message popped

up on the screen. It wasn’t explicit. It was worse. It was familiar. The kind of message

you only send someone you’ve already crossed lines with. When I confronted him,

he denied everything. Said I was “misreading it.” Said I was paranoid. Said I was insecure.

That word stuck with me. Insecure. So I didn’t argue. I didn’t cry.

I didn’t beg. I moved out two weeks later without making a scene. But here’s the thing
