Flying Armbar for Gold

All those repetitive drills finally paid off at the jiu jitsu tournament. I spotted my opening

and went for a flying armbar. Everyone thought I was crazy attempting it in competition,

but my body just moved on autopilot from drilling it thousands of times. Locked it in perfectly.

My opponent tapped instantly. Won gold. The crowd went silent then erupted.

My coach lost his mind. Years of mat time compressed into five seconds.

This is why we drill until our bodies break. This is why we show up every single

day. One moment made it all worth it.
