Four-Legged Family

Night continues. The puppy lies tied outside a house, shaking, eyes fixed on the

moon. Across the street, the girl sits by her window, holding the empty

sweater, looking at the same moon. Both silently cry, remembering each

other. Morning comes. The puppy is forced to work all day while the new owner

shouts and gives no food. His legs tremble with hunger, but his eyes still

wait for kindness. The girl searches everywhere. Most people ignore her,

until an old man quietly points toward a distant house. Hope returns, and she runs without

stopping. Behind an iron gate, the puppy sees her. His tail moves weakly, heart racing.
