Modern Europe was built on a massive pile of religious chaos and witch trials.

wars that wiped out a third of the German population. While absolute kings like Louis XIV were

building massive palaces and armies, England and the Dutch were busy inventing capitalism

and stock markets. Suddenly, science took over. Newton and Galileo proved the universe

wasn't magic, and thinkers like Voltaire argued for freedom over control.

In just a few centuries, society went from burning witches to building the modern world through

pure reason and greed.
