From Denny's to AI Revolution

Jensen Huang’s journey began with humility and grit. Born in Taiwan and sent to a reform

school in Kentucky where he was assigned to clean toilets, he eventually found work as a busboy

at Denny's. In 1993, that same diner chain became his boardroom.

Meeting two fellow engineers at a Denny’s in San Jose, they sketched a plan on a napkin

to create specialized 3D graphics chips for video games—a market most investors dismissed.

Pooling their money, they founded Nvidia. Despite nearly going bankrupt early on, their specific focus

on parallel computing eventually evolved into the engine powering the entire modern AI revolution.
