From Dump to Glass Beach Treasure

Glass Beach in California used to be the town's garbage dump where locals tossed their trash straight into

the ocean for decades. Broken bottles, old appliances, everything ended up there.

But nature had other plans. The waves spent years tumbling all that glass against

rocks and sand, slowly grinding sharp edges into perfectly smooth pebbles.

Today that former dump site is completely transformed into a stunning beach covered in millions

of colorful sea glass pieces. Blues, greens, ambers,

and rare reds sparkle across the shore like gems. The ocean literally turned trash into

treasure.
