From Failure to Fatherhood

Born under the Scottish hospital lights. A foreign face they never said was quite

right. Tried my whole life to fit in with the other guys.

But all they ever saw was the shape of my eyes.

Moved south where the valleys stay gray. Welsh Rain and the cruel

things they'd say. Every lie told me who I'd be. Someone who'd never

quite succeed. I wore the words like they were true. Every mirror said

it too. I always felt like a failure. Never enough,

never safe. Every step felt one behind. Every dream felt outta place.
