The entire internet started with just five computers. Back in 1969, a project called
ARPANET connected a handful of universities for the US military. The goal was to share data,
play long-distance games, and just socialize. They sent their very first message,
and that single act laid the foundation for our entire networked world. Later,
other networks joined in, and private companies piled on. This massive mashup
of networks became the internet we know today—a global system connecting billions of devices.
So, every time you scroll or stream, remember it all began with a few
machines learning to talk.
