The Carol of Frozen Agony

St. Erasmus Church stands silent in the snow. Abandoned since 1847.

But every Christmas at three AM, something impossible happens. Inside the bell

tower hang five massive shapes, frozen in ice. They look like bells from a distance.

But get closer and you see the truth. Five church elders, hung on Winter Solstice over a century ago.

Frozen alive in their final screams. Heavy ropes connect them to something below,

frayed and recently moved. An old journal warns that when the five bells chime in harmony,

the door beneath the altar opens. Tonight the ice begins cracking. The temperature

rises. At exactly three AM, the first body swings. Its jaw dislocates
