Ghosted Over a Gift

“I appreciated the gift… but I knew it would be destroyed. Am I the problem?” Part 4

It’s been several days now. No replies. No calls. Nothing.

I’ve replayed the situation a hundred times. Was I rude? Should I have accepted

the earmuffs knowing they’d be shredded? Should I feel guilty for not wanting a dog accessory

as my birthday present? I don’t think declining a gift — politely, reasonably — should destroy a friendship.

Especially when: He knew my dog destroys everything He bought something she wouldn’t tolerate

It wasn’t even a present for me I thanked him and explained my reasoning gently

But he’s still ghosting me. So now I’m left wondering…
