Your smart home will keep making breakfast even after the world ends. It is August 2026

rubble. Inside, it is business as usual. The toaster pops

up browned toast, robot mice sweep the floors, and the voice-clock announces birthdays

for a family that is now just shadows burned onto the outside wall. It is the ultimate

ghost story because the machine doesn't know it is serving the dead. Finally,

a tree crashes through a window, sparking a fire that burns the house down,

leaving just one wall glitching out, repeating the date to absolutely no one.
