Gideon's Fleece Test

Ever been so unsure you asked God for confirmation… twice? Gideon said to God, “If you are really

going to save Israel by my hand, just as you promised, look—I’m laying a fleece of wool

on the threshing floor. If there’s dew only on the fleece and the ground stays

dry, then I’ll know you will save Israel by my hand, just as you said.”

And that’s exactly what happened. Early the next morning, Gideon got up, squeezed the fleece,

and wrung out enough dew to fill a bowl with water. Then Gideon spoke to God again and

said, “Let not your anger burn against me; let me speak just once more.” He asked

for one more test: that the fleece would be dry and the ground covered in dew.
