Gravy on Christmas Day

Hello, family. It's Dad. It's Christmas Day. I'm in hospital.

They say I'm gonna stay. The nurse just brought me jelly and ice cream.

But all I want is gravy on my plate it seems. I won't be

home to carpe the this year. The morphine's good but it can't shift this fear.

Jack's asking Mom where Daddy's gone. Luke's too little to know something's wrong.

So who's gonna make the gravy now? Who's gonna stir the pot and

calm the crowd? Gemma's strong but she's crying in the hall. And Mia's still

not answering my call. I built that house in Goldsboro with my hands.
