Grit and Resilience

Yeah! Oil and water we churn and spin. A restless tide,

deep under skin. Scarred DNA cracked in the street. Wounds wide open but we don't

retreat. The earth can buckle, ribs can break. Ground splits wide

but we don't shake. Hands grip tighter, breath turns raw. We hold the

line 'cause that's the law. Yeah. No surrender in the ache.

We hold tight for holding still. No peak too high, no low too

low. We haul the weight, we let it show.

Cut what's rotten, seal the frail. Grit's no story, grit's the nail.
