reached the interior, the sky became a pathway. Airports in Guyana were not built for

convenience. They were built for connection, survival, and nation-building.

The story begins on the coast, at Cheddi Jagan International Airport. Originally known

as Timehri Airport, it was developed during the Second World War as a U.S. military base.
