They told me parenthood was a blessing. They forgot to mention the absolute,

unmitigated chaos part. Exhibit A: My daughter, the next Picasso, using my wife's

favorite lipstick as her primary medium. Exhibit B: Her sister, who thinks the

living room rug needs a heavy coating of Bulla flour. I'm holding a

diaper and a phone, desperately praying that my wife picks up the call.

And in the kitchen, the Jebena is about to erupt like a volcano.
