In 1893, a hotel was built for Chicago's World's Fair.

But its rooms had one dark purpose: to kill the guests.

H.H. Holmes transformed this building into 'The Murder Castle'. The second floor

had soundproof rooms. Hidden trap doors dropped victims into the basement. Gas lines asphyxiated

guests as they slept. Some rooms had no windows. No way out.

In the basement, a dissection table awaited. Acid vats and a disguised crematorium.

He targeted young women, offering jobs and rooms. Many checked in.

None checked out. In 1895, police searched the castle.
