How AI Could Replace Artists

Artist traitors are going to make AI art terrifyingly good. I am an AI researcher,

and I realized the only reason models haven't replaced us yet is that researchers have zero clue about

the artistic process. First, iteration. Masters sketch and refine,

but AI spits out an image all at once. If researchers added the reasoning loops

used in LLMs, AI would critique and fix its own work. Second,

purpose. Artists are driven by a need to share truth. AI is just trained

to please humans. If they used reinforcement learning to force self-overcoming, AI would actually
