Your cells are literally eating and drinking right now and you have no idea. Every single cell
in your body can engulf stuff from outside using its membrane like a tiny mouth.
When it swallows big particles like bacteria, that's phagocytosis or cell eating.
When it gulps fluids and dissolved nutrients, that's pinocytosis or cell drinking. The wildest part
is receptor-mediated endocytosis where your cells have specific receptors that grab exactly
what they need like a molecular vending machine. Your cell membrane folds inward,
wraps around the material, pinches off into a bubble called a vesicle,
and boom it's inside your cell. Meanwhile exocytosis does the opposite, kicking out waste
