your calm presence and respond to your voice. Crucially, you begin to

learn their various alarm calls. Sit calmly about two meters away. Use the same

soft tone when you speak, and gradually reduce your distance. Watch their feathers

and tail positions closely. Long eye contact feels threatening to crows.

Stop if they show any signs of stress or panic. Soft 'coo' or

'cluck' sounds often mean curiosity. Repeat small word rhythms; they will begin to recognize

them. Each crow has a unique voice. Over time, you'll know exactly
