Welcome to Lesson 9. Each year, millions of people set New Year resolutions,
but most have abandoned them by February. In this lesson, we'll uncover why resolutions or any
goals fail, and more importantly, how you can set goals that will actually stick.
Avoid unrealistic expectations. Many resolutions fail because they're too ambitious or
vague. Extreme goals can feel impossible and just lead to frustration and
giving up. Obviously, losing 50 pounds in three months is unrealistic,
but losing 5 pounds per month is manageable and motivating. Break your resolutions or goals into smaller,
achievable milestones to build momentum and confidence. Be specific and clear.
