Your brain is basically running on electricity and chemicals having a conversation. Every thought you
have right now is neurons firing action potentials at 200 miles per hour down your nerve cells.
Here's the wild part: when that electrical signal reaches the end of a neuron,
it can't jump to the next one. So your brain releases chemical messengers called neurotransmitters
that flood the gap between neurons. Too much glutamate and you're overstimulated, not enough GABA
and you can't calm down. Your memories are literally just your brain deciding which
connections to strengthen and which to weaken through a process called synaptic plasticity.
Every time you learn something new, you're physically rewiring your neural pathways.
