Before the 1970s, the term sexual harassment didn't exist. It just wasn't a
thing. So women, like Carmeta Wood, who worked at Cornell, would experience
all this awful stuff from their bosses. But what could they call it? Was he just being
friendly? Was it part of the job? When Carmeta would eventually quit,
she was denied unemployment benefits because she couldn't give a good reason. She literally didn't
have the words. But then women started talking to each other. They realized,
