Hunted in Blackwood Forest

We found the last white stag three miles deep in Blackwood Forest, but it wasn't alone.

I'm a wildlife rescuer, been doing this for twelve years, and nothing prepared me for what we saw

that night. The stag stood frozen in a clearing, surrounded by figures that looked human

but moved wrong, their joints bending backwards as they circled it. My team wanted to

run, but the animal was dying. As we approached, the figures turned,

their faces blank like unfinished sculptures. They didn't attack. They stepped aside.

We loaded the stag, and that's when I noticed the brand on its neck, fresh and surgical.

Back at the facility, we found a microchip. Government issued. The endangered animals weren't victims
