I Came From Nothing

They don't talk about the nights. When you pray and hear nothing back.

This is where it starts. Cold floors. Late nights. Lights off.

Still awake. Counting dreams, not money. Every breath felt fake.

World kept moving. I stayed in place. Smiling in public. Fighting my fate.

No help came. No hand reached out. Just me and the voice screaming,

"Figure it out." I watched people quit, watched time pass by.

Swore to myself I'd rather bleed than die inside. I was tired. I was empty.

I was close to done. But something in me said, "You're not done."
