I Can See You

“I shouldn’t have stayed awake that night. My phone buzzed at exactly 3:17

AM. The message was from an unknown number. It said,

‘Don’t move.’ I laughed and locked my screen. Then another message came through.

‘I can see you.’ I froze. My room was dark. The door was open. And I could hear

breathing that wasn’t mine.”
