I Charged the HOA for Trespassing

They built a sidewalk straight across my yard, so I charged them for every step.

The HOA decided it was cheaper and faster to slice through my private property than redesign

their plans, and I woke up one morning to construction crews marking my lawn like it already

belonged to them. By the time I stepped outside, fresh concrete was being poured,

and when I confronted the board, they dismissed me, saying it was for “community access”

and that fighting it would only make me look unreasonable. Instead of arguing, I stayed quiet,

went home, pulled my land survey, checked the county plats, and confirmed what

they hoped I wouldn’t—there was no easement, no agreement, and no legal right for that sidewalk
