I Will Not Be Silent in Hatred

Dew falls slowly on the wounded earth. The name of hope still worn

in my clenched fists. I see light in the gaps of the clouds

where dawn finally chooses to rise. I will not be silent in hatred.

As shadows cover the eyes of the world. I will sing about peace

until silence learns to believe again. You said the world would collapse on its own,

but it rises through the heart, and we are still together. I will not

be silent in hatred. Those scars still remain. I will stand
