Identity Invasion

I was half-asleep when my phone buzzed: “We detected a login to your Google account.” Location: Sharjah.

Device: my exact phone model. Time: right now. I tapped “secure account,” changed

my password, turned on 2FA, the whole routine. The alert disappeared. I exhaled.

Then another buzz. “New device signed in.” Location: Sharjah. Device: my exact

phone model. Time: right now. I checked my Wi-Fi. Off. Mobile data.

Off. Airplane mode. On. Still, the alerts kept

coming every few seconds like someone was trying on my identity. I opened my Google

security page and saw a device list. There were two phones. Mine… and one labeled “Souq_Investment”.
