If Love Is a Fire

I've been standing on the edge of words, trying not to

say too much. Every promise sounds too small when I feel you

in my touch. I was made of almost then, half a heart afraid to fall,

but you saw right through my armor like it wasn't there at all.

Every road I thought I needed led me closer to your name.

I don't know how love found me, but I know I won't walk

away. If love is a fire, let it burn through me.

I won't run when it hurts or gets hard to breathe.
