In the Darkness, Morning Had Come

There were sounds of animals rustling. In the streets, people were bustling. The inns were

all full in David's town. No beds were there to be found.

And then cries of a woman in pain from the bed of straw where

she lay. From a stable, the cry of a newborn son in the darkness,

morning had come. The prophets had told of such a day. Shepherds stood watch

and shouted with praise. Angels proclaimed that Messiah was born. In a manger

they laid Him that morn. Joseph and Mary just watched as He slept.

In her heart, Mary all these things kept. She knew the promise of God
