Iraq is literally predicted to go dry by 2040, but a massive one hundred ninety-five
billion dollar plan just dropped to stop that from happening. A company called Kpm Corp submitted
a master plan to the government that involves building huge desalination plants and a massive
network of dams on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The goal is to lock in over two hundred
billion cubic meters of water reserve within eleven years. The craziest part is they want to
pay for this whole thing using crude oil shipments over forty years. It involves moving
twenty thousand people, but this could be the only way Iraq secures a one hundred
percent independent water future.
