It Wasn't Supposed to Be Like This

The first time I saw you, time stood still. Up on that hill,

by the old sawmill. We bought this house, a patch of

land, and built our life with our own hands.

We raised our kids, saw them grow tall, and still their

steps echo in these halls. Now the silence is a heavy

sound. The biggest thing that we have found. It wasn't meant

to be like this. Losing our love, losing our song. I don't know

where we went so wrong. Our love is like a distant kiss.
