Many expected Jesus to become a political leader. They lived under Roman rule.

They longed for liberation. They wanted a king who would overthrow their enemies.

And at times, the crowds were ready. After Jesus fed the five thousand,

Scripture says they intended “to make Him king by force.” But Jesus withdrew.

He did not seize power. He did not rally an army. He did not leverage

popularity. Instead, He stepped away. Jesus knew something crucial:

Political power changes systems — but it does not change hearts.
