Jesus Raises the Widow’s Son - When Jesus Stopped the Funeral Luke 7:11–17

Jesus and His disciples were traveling to a town called Nain. A large crowd followed Him,

eager to hear His teaching and see His miracles. As they approached the town gate,

another crowd was coming out — a funeral procession. At the front was a woman weeping.

She was a widow, and the young man being carried was her only son. She had already

lost her husband, and now she had lost her child. Her grief was heavy, and her future seemed

empty. When Jesus saw her, His heart filled with compassion. He stepped toward

the woman and gently said, “Do not cry.” — Luke 7:13 The crowd grew quiet
