Jesus, the Great Physician

Crowds followed Jesus everywhere He went. The sick. The wounded.

The rejected. But it wasn’t only broken bodies that came to Him — it was broken hearts.

One evening, Jesus sat at a table surrounded by tax collectors and sinners. The religious leaders

were scandalized. “Why does your Teacher eat with sinners?” they asked. Jesus answered plainly:

“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”

He was not denying sin. He was diagnosing it. Jesus did not come

to congratulate the righteous. He came to heal the sick. Where others avoided

the diseased, Jesus drew near. He touched lepers. He restored the paralyzed.
