Jonah’s Detour to Obedience

God told Jonah to go preach to Nineveh, but Jonah ran the opposite direction and hopped on a

boat instead. Big mistake. A massive storm hit and the sailors figured out Jonah

was the problem. They threw him overboard and instantly the sea went calm. Then a giant fish

swallowed Jonah whole. He spent three days and nights in that fish's belly,

praying and regretting his choices. When the fish finally spit him out on shore,

Jonah didn't hesitate. He went straight to Nineveh and delivered God's message. The entire city

repented and God showed them mercy. Moral of the story? You can run from God's calling,

but you'll just end up taking the scenic route. Obedience always wins.
