Jonah and the Great Fish — The Prophet Who Tried to Outrun God Jonah was a prophet

with a mission… he just didn’t want it. One day, God gave him a command:

“Go to Nineveh and warn them. Their evil has come up before Me.” But Jonah didn’t

like Nineveh. He didn’t want them forgiven. So he made a choice that felt bold…

but was foolish. He ran. He raced to the port of Joppa, heart pounding like

an action hero trying to escape. He boarded a ship heading the opposite direction—far from

God’s assignment. As the ship cut across the sea, Jonah thought he’d succeeded.

But you can’t outrun the God who made the oceans. The skies darkened. Winds howled.
