Thinking you need motivation before doing the hard things is one of the biggest mistakes you can
make. You’re rarely going to want to do the right thing. You won’t always
want to work out, eat clean, sleep early, or push yourself. Because motivation
is an emotion — just like happiness or sadness. It comes and goes. So why would you
rely on something that unreliable to change your entire life? I’m making this
video while not wanting to do what I’m supposed to do. I’ve got two workouts
today, it’s already 1 PM, I slept five hours, and I feel like crap.
But I’m still going to do it… because I said I would. Stop waiting to feel ready.
