on November 21, 1967, in Long Beach, California. Before becoming
a racing icon, he made his mark in action sports as a co-founder of DC Shoes,
helping build one of the most influential brands in skateboarding and motorsports culture.
In his late thirties, Block pivoted into professional racing — an unusually late start by elite standards.
But he quickly proved he wasn’t ordinary. He competed in rally racing, rallycross,
and extreme motorsport disciplines, earning podium finishes and international respect.
