loss of trust, and declining relevance of Kenyan media Media is meant to inform,
to challenge, to elevate a nation’s thinking. But somewhere along the way,
our Kenyan media stations became centres for embracing mediocrity. Not by accident
but by tolerance. Because the people invited to discuss serious national issues
often expose a lack of professionalism, not just in content, but in judgment. We invite noise
instead of knowledge. Familiar faces instead of qualified minds. Drama instead of depth.
And slowly, analysis became performance. Journalism became entertainment.
