Kittens in the Rafters

A warehouse worker stayed three hours past his shift because he kept hearing something above

the ceiling tiles. His manager told him it was probably just pigeons and to go home.

But the sound wouldn't stop. So he grabbed a ladder, climbed into the

rafters with nothing but his phone flashlight, and found four newborn kittens wrapped in insulation.

Their eyes weren't even open yet. No mother anywhere. He carefully pulled each one down,

warmed them in his jacket, and drove them to the emergency vet on his own dime.

The vet said if he'd waited until morning, none of them would have survived.

He didn't post about it. Didn't ask for recognition. Just showed up to work the next day
