Krishna and the Mountain Monster In the peaceful village of Gokul, children played

by the river and cows grazed under the warm sun. One morning, a deep rumble shook

the ground. Birds scattered, and dust rose from the distant hills. A giant shadow crawled

toward the village—an enormous Mountain Monster with footsteps that made the earth tremble.

The villagers panicked. “Who will save us?” they cried. Little Krishna, with his bright

smile and flute in hand, stepped forward. “Do not fear. I am here,” he said
