Broadway just witnessed a massive flop that even a legend like Kristin Chenoweth could not save.

Her new musical The Queen of Versailles just closed its doors way earlier than scheduled,

and the drama behind the scenes is almost as wild as the plot itself. If you missed it,

this show was based on that famous documentary about billionaires trying to build the largest home

in America during a financial crisis. It reunited Chenoweth with the composer of Wicked,

so expectations were sky-high. But after opening in November, the reviews were

absolutely savage. Critics tore it apart, calling it a mess with an identity
