I found myself alone on a late-night bus, where silence hung heavy in the air.

The seats empty, the world outside a blur. That's when I spotted it—a forgotten phone,

ancient and battered, lying on the seat next to mine. Curiosity got the best of me when

no one came to claim it at the next stop. The screen lit up without a lock. No messages.
