Launching a Lamborghini with a Giant Slingshot

We built a massive industrial slingshot to launch a twin-turbo Lamborghini. This setup uses

7,000 feet of bungee material on a private airstrip to see how fast we can send cars flying.

We started by launching a dummy named Carl and accidentally shooting a smart car straight into

a cornfield. Next, we completely totaled a PT Cruiser. But the real test

was the thousand horsepower Huracán. We backed it up to test the launch speed,

and the snap was so violent it ripped the rear bumper off. It was all fun until

the police actually showed up on the private track.
