Learning to Love My Body

I was an obese kid. And yes, I knew it. Not because the doctors told me,

but my classmates, slash bullies, had a way of reminding me every single day.

They didn't always shout. Sometimes it was just a look or a laugh when I used

to run in PT, and it did affect me a lot. I started choosing dark,

loose clothes. I started avoiding looking at myself in the mirror and wearing light-colored

clothes, which were my most favorite at one point. I started thinking

that maybe my body was a problem. I laughed at jokes about me, because crying over
