Leaving Eden, Held by Promise

When the gates began to close behind us and the garden slipped from view.

Every tree we once called home felt farther than we knew. Our steps were

slow with heavy sorrow. Our eyes kept turning back, but the voice

that first had called our names had never left our path. Leaving Eden,

we were grieving, knowing we could not return. But God was not behind us.

He was waiting just ahead. Though the garden fell behind us, His promise still

remained. On a road that started with our tears, He was walking

just the same. Through the thorns and unfamiliar ground, we learned to breathe again.
